I am off for two weeks

I wanted to post a blog everyday before I took off for San Fran, but you know what they say about the best laid plans. I have been really busy this week getting ready, tying up loose ends at work and spending time with my wonderful beau. He has been my rock this week and I honestly do not know how I would have handled myself without him.
As many of you know I am off to have major heart surgery. I will not be able to play on a computer for a few weeks. I am taking my iPod Touch (Mr. Jobs, this would be a good time to donate an iPad). Since the iPod is small, I will not be blogging but will be using it to update my Facebook page.
I am taking a few books; I do look forward to the time I get to spend reading. I am taking:
Grimus by Rushdie
Grim Reaper by Bernard Knight
The Blind Watch Maker by Richard Dawkins
The Anglo Files, A field guide to the British by Sarah Lyall
I am hoping these are enough. I always panic over not having enough to read while on holiday.
I will keep my fingers crossed that I can watch some soccer while in the hospital; yes England has made it to the next round! America is doing well too and I look forward to seeing how far they make it this year.
I will miss you all and look forward to catching up when I return. Hopefully I will have great news to share.
Be good while I am gone dear Readers and happy reading!
