I feel like I’ve failed my followers. My blog posts have been hit and miss lately I know.
My reading list for this semester has been a challenge. In the last two weeks I’ve read Philip K Dick’s VALIS and Barbara Kingsolver’s The Poisonwood Bible and am now working on my papers on them. I promise once I no longer feel caged in my lists will be back.
How was the Poisonwood Bible? I have that on my shelf but have not read it.

It is now one of my favorite Kingsolver books. Though the plot centers around a missionary family who finds themselves in the heart of the Congo, the theme is really about the European rape of Africa. It is written from the four missionary daughter’s point of views; each representing varying ideas on Africa. I highly recommend it.
