My good friend Karen challenged me to dump a bucket of ice on my head. Never one to back down from a challenge, I accepted. The problem? I had 24 hours to meet the challenge. No prep time, no time to figure out how to put together a good video. Just me, after a long day on the job and big bucket of ice.
If you don’t know about the Ice Bucket challenge, lucky you. This means you’ve manged to stay off the internet all week. Everyone from Stephen King to Bill Gates have have taken up the challenge and shared it with world.
The Ice Bucket challenge started as a random way to challenge friends to either donate to a charity of choice or dump a bucket of ice on their head. In July of this year, a group of friends challenged each other as a way of helping ALA research. As with many things viral, this challenge was randomly picked up nation wide and became a hit. Thanks to all the wonderful people who donated as well as soaking their heads in ice, this game has netted the ALS Association over 15 million dollars.
So as part of the effort I not only dumped a bucket of ice on my head, I’ve manged to learn how to upload my own Youtube videos from my iPhone. I thought I would share the results with my followers. I’d love to see you all do this too.
Will you accept the challenge?
No, only picked up on this yesterday. (Un)fortunately we are away from home so I’m in no position to accept the challenge, but well done you. No shrieks though–you kept your cool (sic)…

Ah, but when the camera was off, I jumped up to get the ice off of my lap. Oh, it was cold!
Hope you are enjoying your holiday.

And there’s already an autumnal nip in the air… Not quite as cold as an ice bucket tipped over you though!
